It's Good News!  As we enter a new year, we begin at the beginning of Mark's Gospel, written as "The beginning of the good news about Jesus the Messiah, the Son of God" (Mk. 1:1)  There are a whole spectrum of feelings and expectations we might bring to 2026.  Our times may or may not feel 'good'.  It may be that you're in desperate need of some good news.  Maybe you're feeling a little numb and weary of the world.  Maybe things are going very well, and you'd like to hang on to that sense of peace and joy.  Whatever is going on for us, Mark writes with urgent energy, bringing truly, lastingly 'good' news: Jesus is Lord. He welcomes even us into His presence with forgiveness and hope which extends even into eternity!
