What's the point? That's the question we often face as we read through the Old Testament. Yes, it's a rich history, yes it's entertaining, but is there more? While there are important moral and ethical conclusions to draw, the ESSENTIAL question is to ask how these stories point to Jesus. They achieve just that if we approach with curiosity, not just relying on what might be familiar. Some will remember hearing of Samson, David, Elijah and others from our childhood, but they remain timeless witnesses to the wonder of the incarnation, to the life of Jesus, to His ultimate sacrifice and the hope which it ushers in for us today. In term 3 we'll consider all sorts of people's lives, and ask 'How Does It Pint To Jesus?'
